Sara Donahue founded Cross & Dot in 2014 after seven years with the BB&T Charleston Wine & Food Festival, named one of the top five food and wine Festivals in the U.S. by Forbes Traveler. A New Jersey native, Sara made her way to Charleston via the College of Charleston where she graduated with a degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management and Business Administration. Sara has been blessed to call Charleston, named the Top U.S. City by Condé Naste Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards, home for the past ten years and attributes much of her success in the events industry to the robust hospitality community of the city.
Managing a great range of responsibilities at the wine + food festival – guest talent recruitment + coordination, beverage sponsorship, culinary demonstration + kitchen organization, and event logistics – Sara saw firsthand the importance of communication between the event team and the vendors, chefs, wineries, sponsors, etc. who make the event a reality. Building on this realization Sara developed Cross & Dot, an events consulting and management company whose ultimate goal is to eliminate any blurred lines of communication between events and the partners who support them. Sara lives and breathes the “organized chaos” of the events world and whether you are the event or the partner she wants to make sure you recognize your needs and goals, align them with the event or partner and see them fulfilled.
At the end of the day Sara seeks to live a life full of positive energy savoring the things she loves – travel, quiet moments, the outdoors, reading, dogs, cooking, eating, family, friends, wine, home projects, exercising and exploring Charleston.
Most importantly she wants you to live a life doing the things you love too. With Cross & Dot she hopes to give you back the time you want to savor the things you love.
